On March 2006, two Japanese steak restaurant companies, Don Co.,Ltd. and Volks Inc. were consolideted into the largest steak restaurant group in Japan.
This new company took the name of Don. It now has over 200 steak houses throughout Japan with an annual gross sales of over 260 million US Dollers.
Don has 4 restaurant groups, "Family Steak House DON", "Shabu Shabu Don tei", "Steak House VOLKS" and "don-italiano". |

Family Steak House DON
This original restaulant group was established in 1976. Many of the restaurants have white walls like
those of Spanish houses.
The restaurant was named "DON" after Don Quixote, the famous Spanish knight.
At the present, this group has over 100 restaurants throughout Japan.
Variety of hamburgers and steaks can be enjoyed at a reasonable price. |

Shabu Shabu Don tei
Shabu Shabu is a popular dish with an unique cooking style here in Japan. It is very easy and simple. Just dip thinly sliced meat into boiling water and have it with special Japanese dip sauce.
Don tei was established in 1990. It not only serves Shabu Shabu but the ever popular Sukiyaki can also be enjoyed here.
This group now has 40 restaurants in the Kanto region and Osaka. |

Steak House VOLKS
VOLKS established in 1970 is a very famous steakhouse and the very first restaurant to adopt the system of a "SALAD BAR" in the early '70s, followed by a "SOUP BAR".
Additionally, more than half of this restaurant group now has "BREAD BAR" a buffet of oven fresh homemade bread.
There are 50 VOLKS restaurants throughout Japan, where you can enjoy fresh crisp salad, delicious soups, and sizzling quality steaks as well. |

A casual italian restaurant group established in 1997.
Although this group still only has 3 restaurants in Saitama area, all are gaining popularity for delicious homemade pizzas, pastas, and fancy desserts.
